The CCAI was founded in 2001to raise awareness about the millions of children around the world in need of safe and nurturing families and to eliminate the barriers that hinder these children from realizing their basic right to a family.

CCAI’s Angels in Adoption® Leadership Program honors a wide spectrum of individuals and organizations making extraordinary contributions to adoption, permanency, and child welfare. Dr. Bullock has been invited to Washington, D.C. for two days (September 21st and 22nd, 2022) to take part in advocacy fairs, legislative seminars, and meet members of congress as well as other foster care advocates.

In addition to adopting two children from the foster care system, Dr. Bullock leads the Tidewater Friends of Foster Care team in their mission of enriching the lives of foster children and recruiting parents to ensure every child has a home to meet their unique needs. TFFC’s programs for foster youth include tutoring, camperships, extracurricular activities and providing birthday and holiday gifts. The organization is funded solely through private donations and foundation grants and offers all programming free of charge.
