Join us Sunday, May 23rd for the 2021 Rhythm Project Showcase Performance! This concert will feature our best performers that encompass the Rising-Stars (middle school) and All-Stars (high school) ensembles performing a wide variety of musical selections on steel pan.
The Virginia Arts Festival Bank Street Stage will be full of steel pans and eager musicians ready to put on a fantastic performance to entertain all ages.
A Rhythm Project Alumni Ensemble comprised of students from the past 15 years will be making a guest appearance to perform a special selection. This wonderful evening of music, merriment, steel pans, and social distancing is an event you do not want to miss!
The Rhythm Project is a world percussion ensemble dedicated to the nurturing of self-esteem through individual and cooperative achievement. Founded in 1996, the program reaches students in Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach.
The Rhythm Project is funded by generous contributions from individual donors, corporate sponsors, local municipalities and foundation supporters.
