Tidewater Arts Outreach’s sold out Party of the Ages returns to Zeiders American Dream Theater in Virginia Beach on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 5pm. Formerly the Once More Concert, Party of the Ages features five Hampton Roads residents (“inspirations”) each paired with an artist from the region who will turn their life stories into original songs, artwork, and even fashion! The artists and their inspirations met in February and will meet again on April 20 – where the inspirations will hear and see the works inspired by their life, legacy, and personality for the first time surrounded by friends and loved ones. “This year, we’re pulling out all the stops,” says Kate Powell, Executive Director of Tidewater Arts Outreach. “When we were finally able to do this event in-person last year, it was still very hard to gather. We kept it small and intimate. But this year is party time!” After the presentation of song and art, the Party begins! Food, drinks, door prizes, and live music will give the older adults in Hampton Roads a celebration they can talk about for years to come! This year’s event sold out in just 72 hours with a wait list growing for tickets as they become available. General admission tickets were made available at no cost thanks to the generosity of sponsors, including Presenting Sponsors Westminster-Canterbury on the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Shores. Party of the Ages will feature the following artists and inspirations.

  • Betty Lachman Tucker paired with artist Logan Vath

  • Everna Lee Taylor paired with artist David Duck

  • Robert “Bobby” Gamez paired with artist Roger Adams

  • David O’Neil paired with artist Sonya Z Phillips

  • Mary Daniels paired with artist Billy Mercury

More information about the artists and the Once More Concert can be found at tidewaterartsoutreach.org/partyoftheages. All proceeds benefit the arts outreach programs produced by Tidewater Arts Outreach for older and isolated adults all over the region. ###
