Williamsburg, VA – City of Williamsburg residents are invited to attend the 2021 National Night

Out event on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at High Street, 1430 Richmond Road.

National Night Out (NNO) is an annual event that promotes police-community partnerships,

public engagement, and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods a safer, better

place to live.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this event is the first in-person NNO celebration since 2019.

NNO provides an opportunity for residents to meet members of several local law enforcement

agencies, including the Williamsburg Police Department, Williamsburg-James City County

Sheriff’s Office, William & Mary Police, Colonial Williamsburg Public Safety, National Park

Service, and the Virginia State Police.

“National Night Out is a fantastic opportunity for our local law enforcement officers to build

relationships with our residents,” Community Engagement Officer Herb Williams said. “This

event is great expression of our commitment to community policing, and we are eager to host

the community once again for one of our favorite annual events.”

WMBG AM 740 will provide music for the event. In addition, local businesses will be on hand

supporting the event with tabletop displays, printed materials, and free giveaways. Some of the

supporters include Revolution Golf and Grille, Williamsburg Area Transit Authority, Baskin

Robbins, Chick-Fil-A (Mooretown Road), Virginia Master Naturalists, and Boy Scouts Troop

103, with more vendors to come.
