Locally Made Short Films Screening This Weekend

Virginia Beach Short Film Showcase is this Saturday. Hampton Roads is fortunate to have a great independent film scene, and even has local universities and a community college with film departments to help further nurture and educate filmmakers!

This Saturday, you can see just a small sample of some of the short films local filmmakers have created recently.

Drip written and directed by JoMartin Yumul. Ruby, an aspiring artist, seeks revenge for following the disillusionment of an art class.

Satan’s Stage directed by Anna Sosa written by Matt Holman. A dark experimental animated film.

Clocks A film by first time director Stephen Carlson. A drama about a man uses clocks to get his frustrations out.

Back to Front written and directed by R Jay Molina. A work place comedy about a man trying to start his own podcast.

CLASSIFIED written and directed by Eric Pace. A man is hired by the government to interview an alien in captivity.

The showcase was arranged by Eric Pace, of Pace Films Productions. It will be held at Meyera E Oberndorf Central Library from 2:45 pm - 4 pm . The event is Free and open to the public.
