VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (March 22, 2022) – The past two years have brought us more of the unexpected than ever expected. Businesses pivoting to stay afloat, essential workers facing burn-out, and virtual everything especially impacted women. Now that things are starting to feel more normal, two local small business owners, Kristen Bacon and Melody Waters, want to help women connect and inspire each other by introducing the Blossoming Ember Sisterhood and its first event of the year, the Spring Renewal, on Sunday, April 10.

“This new group is a rebranding of Boss Babe Brunch, which was originally a group focused on female entrepreneurs. We want to bring together all women, regardless of their background or job title,” said Waters, Blossoming Ember Sisterhood co-founder and owner of Melody & Co. Entertainment. “We started this group for women to have a sisterhood of support, empowerment, and inspiration.”

The Spring Renewal event will focus on self-care. “With everything going on in the world, we are going to create an oasis of healing and love through workshops and classes,” explains Bacon, Blossoming Ember Sisterhood co-founder and owner of Unveiled On-site Beauty. The mini-retreat’s highlights include baby goat yoga, a vision board seminar, and a breath-work meditation among other activities. Iveta Petrosyan will be on hand to offer chair massages. For refreshments, bottomless mimosas and charcuterie boards from Organic Alchemy Farms will be available.

Bacon believes “The universe has a funny way of giving us exactly what we need, when we need it. Every person, every moment, every detail in every moment… these things are all put in our path for a reason. Life gives us every life event to help us level up.” Bacon and Waters are putting the Spring Renewal out into the universe, hoping it may be the healing and inspiration women need, no matter what curveballs they have been dealing with over the past two years.

The Spring Renewal will be held Sunday, April 10 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Old Magnolia Farm. It is located just over the Virginia/North Carolina border at 2515 Tulls Creek Road, Moyock, NC 27958. Tickets are available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/spring-renewal-celebration-tickets-295663416237. If you plan to go with a bestie, take advantage of the two for $75 special through March 25. Single tickets are $50 each. Registration ends April 10.
