Virginia Arts Festival & NSU Theatre Company want your dog to be featured at the Attucks!

In collaboration with Norfolk State University Theatre Company, Virginia Arts Festival presents Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill October 29-31 at the Attucks Theatre. The performance features the music and life of jazz legend Billie Holiday, portrayed by Ashley Bishop-Diggs. In the play, Holiday brings out her little dog onstage. We are looking for a dog that will portray the best friend of Billie Holiday.


Persons interested in having their dogs "audition" for the role of Pepe, Holiday’s dog should visit vafest.org for the list of requirements and submit an online form. Advance registration is required. The form is linked below.


AUDITION DETAILS When: Saturday, October 9 at 10:00 AM Where: Attucks Theatre, 1010 Church Street, Norfolk What: Dogs will interact with performer on stage and be held as part of the audition. Who: For further questions, email info@vafest.org or call 757-282-2800.
